West Coast Silver (ASX: WCE) has reported a standout diamond drilling result at its Elizabeth Hill Silver Project in Western Australia, intersecting 67.1 metres at 19 grams per tonne silver from surface in hole 26WCDD036. The hit extends near surface mineralisation well beyond the boundaries of the existing 2.8 million ounce silver Mineral Resource Estimate, adding to a run of results that has kept the stock on watchlists for ASX-listed silver explorers heading toward a possible restart decision.
Drilling Details
The headline intercept included higher grade zones of 12.3 metres at 22g/t silver from 24.7 metres and 10.9 metres at 24g/t silver from 43.9 metres downhole. A second hole, 26WCDD035, returned 48.5 metres at 19g/t silver from just 1.5 metres, including 25.5 metres at 23g/t from 16 metres. West Coast Silver said the broad, shallow zone remains open in every direction and sits partly outside the April 2026 block model, meaning it was not captured in the current resource. The company has flagged an updated JORC 2012 resource estimate for the December quarter, backed by the $6.125 million capital raise it completed in mid-2025 to accelerate exploration at the project.
Context for ASX Silver Investors
The result lands as several ASX-listed silver names chase resource growth in a strong price environment. Andean Silver recently reported record grades at its Cerro Bayo project in Chile, while Investigator Silver moved its Paris project into an execution phase after securing fresh funding. The Silver Institute forecasts the global silver market will run its sixth consecutive annual supply deficit in 2026, a backdrop that continues to support exploration spending across the sector.
What It Means for Elizabeth Hill
For West Coast Silver, the priority now is converting these shallow, high grade intercepts into a materially larger resource base ahead of internal restart studies. Investors will be watching whether the December quarter resource update confirms the tonnage and grade uplift implied by recent drilling, and whether that translates into a clearer pathway back to production at Elizabeth Hill.
